It’s Not About the Money-Jessie J – Price Tag ft. B.o.B.

When I heard the song “Price Tag” by Jessie J, I was amazed by both the lyrics and her voice. I think that the girl has a great voice, and that there will definitely be many more amazing things happening in her career.

“Price Tag” is one of the tracks on Jessie J’s debut album Who You Are.
Apparently, the album took 6 years to record.

I listened to other songs on this album as well, and I would have to say that Price Tag is my favorite, so I embedded a YouTube video to share with you. Enjoy 🙂

The album was well-received by critics, and I can certainly understand why. I think that Jessie J did a great job on it, and I definitely look forward to seeing what she will come out with next.

I started an account on Technorati

After hearing several good things about Technorati, I have decided to start an account there and find more fashion, fitness, and art blogs to follow, as well as read tips on blogging, search engine optimization and more.

It is required that I post a unique code within the new blog post,
so here it is: QZP723XHYQ92

I have heard of Technorati being a good resource for bloggers, and who knows, I might even submit a couple of articles there too. 🙂

Upcoming posts include: interviews, product reviews, and more. Stay tuned for that!

A Blurb About The Body Shop Canada

The Body Shop was founded in 1976 by Anita Roddick, a British businesswoman and human rights activist, who was known for her charitable contributions, as well as campaigns for environmental and social issues. She was promoting ethical consumerism long before it was trendy to do so.

I admire Anita Roddick’s business sense, as well as her success as an entrepreneur in general. She started a great company with the right attitude, and the company will continue to thrive.

Between 1976 and now, The Body Shophas grown into a wonderful international company offering hundreds of products including various body butters, make-up, skin care ranges, as well as men’s skin care.

I have tried some of the products from The Body Shop and I love many of their body butters because they smell great and have moisturizing qualities that are great for the skin, not to mention that they only use natural ingredients in production.

Between now and April 24th, 2011 receive a Free Gift with Any $30 Purchase at The Body Shop. Valid 4.13.2011–4.24.2011

A few updates & what’s coming up

Hey guys!

You may have noticed that I have not updated this blog for a couple of weeks now. Now that I have some time, I am thrilled to be back at it.

There were a few reasons for my lack of blog posts:

1. The first reason was that I was finishing up my 3rd year final exams, and if you have been to university, you can probably remember how busy the final exam period is. I am very relieved and happy to be done 3rd year. 🙂

2. Second, I have done a few shoots, and have not yet picked which photos to use in upcoming posts.

3. Third, I was busy interviewing some people for upcoming features and working through guest post submissions. Also, if you would like to submit, take a look at the “submit yours/contribute” tab for the specs.

4. I am always thinking of ways to improve what I am doing (whether it’s modeling, blogging, or studying) in every way possible, and sometimes taking a break is the best way to do it.

5. I wanted the Frilly Lilly review to stay up at the front a little bit longer because I am very honoured to have been invited to the store and experience the services. I had a great experience there, and I know you will too.

What is coming up?

1. Fitness posts

2. Interviews with pretty awesome people

3. Updates on some previous interviewees

4. Reviews of products, services, etc.

5. Features of stores that I like

6. Photos from shoots

7. And much more!! 🙂

Cheers,
Aviva

100 Valentine’s Gift Ideas For Under $50

With Valentine’s Day being less than 1 week away, you are probably looking for some last minute gift ideas for your loved ones.

When it comes to presents, the most expensive stuff is not necessarily what you need to buy in order to make people happy. Happiness comes from within, and it is not the monetary price that you pay, but the thought that counts.

People want to feel loved & remembered, and when you buy something for them, you are letting them know that they are not forgotten. It doesn’t matter if you spend $25, $100, or $500 on a present to the people that you’re buying for.

Buying inexpensive presents does not mean that you are cheap, it just means that you are resourceful when it comes to budgeting.

While browsing on Amazon, I found some awesome gift ideas.

Fragrances. Provided that they are not allergic, women love perfume. I enjoy getting perfume as a present, and I know many of my female relatives and friends do as well.

Jewelry. You don’t have to buy $1000+ diamond rings/necklaces in order to show your appreciation of the person you are buying for. Generally, women like jewelry because it looks nice.

Magazine Subscriptions. Why not give someone a subscription to their favorite magazine?

Books. They are inexpensive, and some of them are intersting and entertaining.

Movies & TV. People love to watch a good movie/show. There are movies for all interests.

These are only a few…you can check out Amazonfor more gift ideas 🙂

Have a great one!!
